.
my contribution............170 child benefit Mark your contribution as Zero and put the Child Benefit with benefits. You need to ensure this is separate and the OR does not confuse himself and include the child benefit in the calculations. Your OH can state only he works in his "explaination" at the end of the forms.
OH wage.....................1513
child tax credit..............371.67
total = 2054.67
Round Everything to the nearest Pound (upwards!)
mortgage..............................557.56 558
council tax............................119
gas / electric.........................150 This is quite high, does it include any arrears? If this is your actual usage, then you *may* need some proofs/bills for that
tv licence..............................11.95 12
water....................................25.49 26
home ins...............................26.95 27 Is this buildings and contents?
life ins...................................37.02 37
car ins..................................57.68 (high cos just changed car will go down after 2 more payments) 58 Dont worry about it going down just yet - this is what it is now.
housekeeping.........................540 Put £600. It works out at £4 per person, per day, which is acceptable. Nothing ventured, nothing gained!
petrol.....................................86
car tax ...................................16.66 17
bt phone.................................40 This is high. Are you getting the best deal? Including all your calls etc? Have you compared to Sky and get all calls and broadband included with them??
medical / dental.......................40 Unless you can prove this, its a bit high. Try 30
hairdressers.............................20 Likewise, a bit low for a family of 5 - 30
clothes...................................60 Low for x5 - 90
money for emergencys...............20 You are not actually allowed an emergency fund, but surprisingly most will allow a holiday fund, so change the title.
school dinners...........................120 This will not be allowed. You will be expected to include it in your housekeeping budget. Its an awful lot of money when they can take better value/healthier packed lunches out of what you already have in the cupboards.
petplan....................................22.63 (this is my name only) I would not mention this is in your name. £23
sky/internet..............................38 (my name only) You are not allowed Sky. Well, you are but not on an SOA
hfc .........................................55.64 (my name only) This may not be alloweable on OHs SOA as well. However, I would leave it in anyway, not tell them its in your name and see what happens.
total............................2044.58
left over ...........10.09
is this any good thanks;)
Hope this helps a bit.0 -

if im not able to put sky and hfc on do i just hide them and oh not mention or will they see them on bank statment. like i said these ae the ones that belong to me , the hfc is my debt and sky is mine. petplan could be changed to be in joint name.
dont know what to do with the child benefit as some say its taken into account and others saying it isnt

Hello! Right, you MUST include child benefit on your SOA, but when the OR comes to work out a possible IPA, its not included in that calculation. So, if you mark it as your contribution, then that is included in IPA calculations and is a chance it will mess things up for you. So it needs to be clearly separate on the BR forms in the benefits section.
HFC - Whos bank account does it come out of? (and what actually is it? HFC is a bank? so if its a debt of yours, cannot be included) The OR would expect your OH to pay for everything as you have no income, so it does not matter who's name it is in. The Sky is different - its regarded as a luxury and is not permitted on an SOA, but you can have it if the money you spend on it comes out of your surplus.
Add??
Erm. Oh - Dry Cleaning - OH needs this for suits at work £15. Does he pay any union fees? Pensions? Actually, there is nothing for Car MOTs/servicing, so £20.0 -
Do you put union fees seperately then SKylight? I have not as they would come straight out of my wages? I do not belong to my union at present but have been considering it.
On the online forms it is a pain as there is NO seperate place for benefits, you have to give a lump sum of them, and in the subject put what they are anyone with several may have a problem as the line only allows so many letters.
Are you doing yours by hand Pink? If so I think you will find it easier to seperate these things out. Some Days are Diamonds Some Days are Stones,Sometimes the hard times won't leave meBSC 162:beer:Banktupt 22 Oct 2008 at 10am!0 -

HFC - Whos bank account does it come out of? it came out of joint account but ive just transfered all direct debits over to new co-op account which is just in my name(and what actually is it? HFC is a bank? so if its a debt of yours, cannot be included)its for a tv that i got at currys The OR would expect your OH to pay for everything as you have no income, so it does not matter who's name it is in. they still want to know the far end of a fart.:p
im totally lost on expenses and the total and whats classed as income.
i know theres a part for benefits as child benefit , is child tax credit a benefit?
as i dont work theres no contrubution from me.:o
just his wages. agghhhhhh:eek:
and pensions dont know where to start i'll leave that for the cab to look at.
any how good luck filling them in online

If your union fees are paid out of wages, then you leave them off - the forms ask for take home pay, so they are already taken into consideration. If you pay them separately then list them.
In 6.6 it asks if you receive any other income and state the source. So on your OHs form here, put £540 Child Benefit/Child Tax Credit. 6.7 asks about contributions from other members - put zero here. You do not make a contribution as a SAHM (in monetary terms!)
You only fill in one form, the OR will use whats on your BR forms, so you need to ensure that the child benefit is in the right place. And I would include HFC then - your OH is the only earner, therefore he pays for everything anyway. The worst the OR can do is say no, but if its not on the forms then you have no chance.0 -
You mentioned pension? Is your OH paying into one? There was nothing on his SOA about it - or does it come direct from his salary?
Trying to do the forms online is perhaps better. Its laid out in a much more systematic way - plus you can come back as often as you like after saving each step. At least you cannot miss anything out and it actually makes better sense than handwriting the forms.0 -
Just to add to all the help Skylight has give, school dinners are allowed on your SoA. £8.75 per week, per child, but they might ask if you have enquired about free school dinners.
It doesn't matter who's bank or who's name sky is in it cannot go on your Soa, but pet insurance can go on.
As far as HFC is concerned, the OR will not allow your OH to budget for your debts, it will have to come out of his surplus.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0
