Oddly enough I was checking my ING account only a few days ago before all this panic about them started. I opened an account with them last Spring at 6.5% interest and when I went online I was shocked to read that my interest rate is something like 3.89% now. Disgusted.
So am going to move my 10K out this week as soon as I find somewhere safer for it.This is not financial nor legal nor property advice. Consult a paid professional if in doubt.0 -

Not without more info. Do you mean "good" as in good interest rate? If so what are you getting? New customers are getting a pretty good 6% though that includes a bonus which disappears after a year.

If you mean "good" as in safe - there were worries about them recently but the Dutch government injected large sums of money and it seems to have done the trick for now.0 -

Same here, went onto ING yesterday evening, i am so angry they have reduced the rate, i was under the impression it was fixed untill march 09. Even if i had got the fixed bit wrong, to drop the rate like that without telling us makes me so angry. I moved my 10K out this morning. :mad:0 -
I have just telephoned ING regarding my transfered Kaupthing Edge one year fixed rate deposit, they have confirmed they are honouring the 7.15%, and at present they are still paying 6.36% on my transfered KE access savings account but that this rate is obviously variable.
It seems they are treating their "transfered savers" alot better than their existing customers? In memory of Chris Hyde #8670 -
Yes, I have more than 50K in the Nationwide but think I will move my ING 10K into there. Like you I thought my 6.5% was until March of next year so am cheesed off that it has been reduced... and by SO MUCH!This is not financial nor legal nor property advice.
