Hi,
I looked on the Marks and Spencer website. It states
Most 3 for 2s work by giving you the cheapest products free. With ours, you get every third product free, in descending price order. This means that if you buy nine gifts, the ones you get free are the third, sixth and ninth most expensive, not the three cheapest.
So, I put:
1st item: Ray gun: £5
2nd item: Light sword £5
3rd item: Fairground set: £39.99
4th item: Ray gun:£5
5th item: Light sword:£5
6th item: Tractor:£29.50
7th item: Ray gun:£5
8th item: Light sword: £5
9th item: Remote control car: £25.00
Total = £124.49
Now, if they do as they have advertised the 3rd, 6th and 9th MOST EXPENSIVE items should be taken off making my total =£30
But they have only taken off £35 in total.
I thought it sounded too good to be true - can anyone help me in what they actually mean please when they say:

It's not the order you order them in but the prices in descending order.
1. 39.99
2. 29.50
3. 25.00 *
4. 5.00
5. 5.00
6. 5.00 *
7. 5.00
8. 5.00
9. 5.00 *
items 3, 6 & 9 = £35.00Not even wrong0 -
Gosh, think I have just worked it out:
If you put them in order:
In order of cheap to expensive: £5, £5, £5, £5, £5, £5, £25, £29, £39
In order of expensive to cheap:£39, £29, £25, £5, £5, £5, £5, £5, £5
So, if M+S said 3 cheapest you would get £15 off (£5,£5, £5)but because they said 3rd, 6th and 9th most expensive you get £25, £5,£5
I think I need a lie down.0
