Hello
I am trying to make a huge christmas mp3 cd or dvd using nero or roxio, but I'm getting fed up because nero, for starters puts all the tracks on in alphabetical order, and roxio, even though it allows a playlist thing, does the same when its played! Does anyone know of any free programmes which get round this, and save me spending all day going through the tracks and changing the numbers etc?
I found this but i don't really want to pay!

Have you tried iTunes. It is free from apple's website and you can create numerous mp3 playlists in any order you want. You got to get through what you've got to go through to get what you want but you got to know what you want to get through what you got to go through.0

What are you using to rip the CDs in the first place? Whatever you use, make sure it saves the tracks with their number before the title. ie "01 - trackname.mp3". And make sure it has leading zeros, otherwise it will put 11 before 1, etc.
If you want to try to sort it out i recommend using software called MusicBrainz, it will search a database, match up your tracks with theirs, and put them into the right order, rename them and redo all the ID3 tags for you.
It makes them all consistent too!0 -
Yes I always use itunes for my ripping, works great.

download it and install it and you wont be converting back to other programs.Kind Regards
