Help!? I don't know what I'm entitled to!

Hi all,

Please can somebody/anybody help me out?

Here goes: I am single living out and I own my own house, however because I have been posted I have left it empty and rented out a house at my new posting. This is costing me a bomb is there anything I can claim for? Also can i claim disturbance alowance as a single solidier moving from an owned house to a rented house, as usual the admin office have umed and arhed and there not sure them selves and I need some ammo before I go and tackle them again!

The obvious option would be to move into SLA on the base your at, then your only outlay would be your house.

From there, seek a residential mortgage (ie consent to let) and rent the house out. This can be through a letting firm, or from someone in the paper.

Obviously the posting is going to be for a whilst, unless your about to leave the forces soon.

If you are in SLA I know that you can claim back some money (although i don't know what its called could be part of Get You Home) to visit the house every month to 'check up' on it. Now whether you are entitled to that if you are living out at you new camp i don't know.

thanks for your help,,, i`m claiming somthing per month which pays for petrol twice a month to ensure my house hasn`t fallen down.

You can claim the privately rented rate of DA...about 1000 blats...JSP 752 refers..
