Question about gas rises

Options
Hi

Can anyone help me I have just been told of a second raise in my gas and electricity. The problem is that my gas meter was read in APR with the first raise, but the company never confirmed reading and it was estimated bill. So when i called last week regarding it the said they would backdated it to Nov 2007.

But what I cant understand is how can they give me a proper total as they can not tell me what i used between Nov and the APR raise, the the raise between APR and Aug. So how can they tell me if much i owe.

At present there saying that i owe just over the £90 mark but if there cant tell me my exact month reading how can i owe them this money.

If they don't have actual readings (which they won't unless you supplied them) they'll do what they always do and estimate usage for the periods concerned :)

  • Hi

Thanks for the reply but I feel this is unfair as it wasn't me that forget to put reading into system. And with me having my boiler replaced in March and hardly used gas then how can I know there not ripping me off.

Can anyone tell me if there is anyone I can contact regarding the situation.

Did you read your meter and enter a reading?
