Electrosaver - Bad Customer Service

Before buying from this company - Be aware that there after sales service is TERRIBLE and there managers attitude is arrogant & rude.
Bought a Panasonic DMR-EX88 recorder at a good price. £349.99
Delivery was 7 days (OK but a little slow)
I found that although advertised as playing Div-X, it was temperamental and would not play 50% of my collection of Div-X DVD’s (although I have another 2 DVD players which play them no problem).
When I contacted them they incorrectly advised me to contact a Panasonic help line.
When I did I was told that the help line was for service engineers only and Electrosave should not have referred me to them.
I Contacted Electrosave again & was told to detail my problem in an email and send it to the service department
I sent the email and spent the next 3 days trying to contact the engineer at Electrosave, each time being told he would ring me back (I’m still waiting)
Eventually I asked to speak to the manager (Harps Singh).
I explained that I had a problem & wished to return the player.
(For checking with regards to a replacement of possible refund)
I COULD NOT BELIEVE HIS ATTITUDE
He completely lost his cool and started ranting:
He was sick of customers like me
If I returned it and they thought there was nothing wrong with it, it would not be returned, and it would just sit there until I arranged collection.
When I tried to calm him down and asked what his problem was, his reply was that I was the one with a problem and he didn’t have time to talk to the likes of me.
At this point I decided that further discussion was pointless and decided to check my legal rights.
Luckily the law gives purchasers 7 days when buying by phone or internet.
I immediately sent a letter by recorded delivery stating my wish to cancel my contract to purchase and referring to my customer rights in law.
I also returned the recorder by special delivery.
This cost £25 but by now I could not trust this company and I wanted a signature to prove they had received it.
After many more phone calls / emails and delay of 2 weeks I eventually received a refund.
Unfortunately I bought by phone so am unable to post a review for this retailer.
