  • Enter your control panel and double click on Network Connections. Then right click on your default connection, usually local area connection for cable and dsl, and left click on properties. Double-click on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) item and select the radio dial that says Obtain DNS servers automatically

Press OK twice to get out of the properties screen and reboot if it asks.

    Its a belkin f5d7632-4.

I have checked microsofts knowledge base and follows the instructions to check if under a SYN attack.

This shows 20 attempts to contact http://80.87.128.27/ ( British private equity and venture capital associations website, which i have never visited ) with result time wait (which unfortunatly microsoft dont advise what this is, Syn attack apparently shows as SYN received, possibly time wait is my router blocking it?)

Alos 2 attempts to contact 207.46.198.249 which i have no idea what this is.

Okay ive read that post and changed Maximum incomplete TCP/UDP sessions number from 10 to 20 to see if that makes a difference.

Although still concerned over the number of attempts to contact a site that ive never visited
