Help with £4K

Hi All

I have about 4k to save of which 2k I would want easy access to and the rest can be locked away until next April when the whole amount can be put into ISAs.

Any advice?

£3,500 in to an ISA paying a decent rate.

£500 in to Halifax Fixed Web Saver at 7% for 6 months. Top up your ISA with it when it matures!

Perhaps I didn't make it very clear, my Isa is already full and I'm looking for somewhere to keep this money until April.

Halifax fixed rate websaver 7% for 6 months for 2k. Locked away, i doubt you can do better.
Then a high interest instant access account for the other 2k. Best rates are here

You may as well put the whole lot in an instant access account as you will be taking all but £400 out when it comes to April anyway.
