does anyone know where i can get two for one tickets for alton towers for the end of the month /september? am heading down that way with a few friends and would love to go to alton towers

You can actually get a 2 for 1 offer by buying your tickets on altontowers.com until Sunday for visits this week - the good thing is that you won't have to queue up to redeem a printed voucher and you also get to go into the park an hour early, unlike with normal vouchers.

Legoland are doing an online sale until 22nd August. You can book your ticket online and save 25% off day tickets.

Adult tickets down from £38 to £28.50 and child tickets down to £21.75 each. Still expensive, but a big saving, considering most of the usual 2 for 1 vouchers can't be used during August.

Just click on the "Save 25%" advert on the Legoland website homepage to access the offer.

They then e-mail you the tickets with a barcode to print off at home. You can apparently scan them in at the turnstiles when you get there, so you don't have to queue.

And if you book through one of the cashback websites, you'll might get a few extra quid back that way too.

Well, I went onto the Legoland website. Interesting.

It gives me prices I pay at the gate - Adult £38 Child £28 For us, its £120.60 for a 1 day pass

It has a central 'offers' column telling me what I can save by booking online:

And prices to book online save 10% - Adult £34.20 Child £26.10
Or save 30% with a family 2+2 ticket which should work out around £95.00 [ however I can't seem to access this portion of the site ]

I selected 2 adults + 2 children ( 4 +5 ) expecting it to show the family for 4 offer that it had on the tickets page. No such luck, it still wants to charge me £120.60 for 1 day. Plus £2 to park there!! Not sure where I find the £95 family ticket.

Never mind, I have 241 vouchers so at least the kids are free. At the gate, thats a total of £76 - to think, in the past we might have paid them an extra (almost) £50 !!

Oh yes, add the parking fee too

    SHOCKING!

We'll probably spend the savings there anyway, little devils!
