Outlook Express help needed to cancel 'send'

Hi.
I'm not familiar with Outlook Express and sister has just called in a panic. She's sending an email to her boss and has realised that she's left something in the message that she really doesn't want in there.
Apparently Outlook performs a spellcheck when you click send and gives you the option to correct errors before the mail leaves. Her spellcheck has (luckily) picked up an error, so that is where she is now. If she corrects the error, the email will automatically send. She can't find an option to cancel the send.
Does anyone know if this can be done?

dis-connect from the internet, correct the error. The email will sit in her outbox and delete it from there.0

Tell here to turn off internet connection first, at least it can't get sent then. Then she can find/wait for the answer at her leisure0

OE, Tools, Options, Send Tab - Uncheck Send messages immediately. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

i echo post 4, this will sotp it completely happening in the future and you will physically have to click the send button - bet youre saying "phew"make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

Thanks all. Unfortunately, she tells me none of these will work! What she didn't tell me before is that she's connected remotely to her work desktop, so if she disconnects from the internet, she loses the connection to the desktop and Outlook.
She's disconnected now, and hopes that when she logs in at work tomorrow she can select 'work offline' before the message is sent. Then she can delete the message from her outbox.
Thank you all for your advice xsome people grin and bear it, others smile and do it

Tell her to unplug her network cable when she gets to work, then when outlook realises that there is no connection to the internet she should be free to delete the message, as she is already logged in presumably she should just need to unlock her PC, rather than log back into the domain which she will be able to do without network connectivity.0

If she is connected to remote desktop at work her company may well use Outlook (proper version, not express) and Exchange server, there is a way but not 100% successfull, look at the description here; http://www.nusnet.nus.edu.sg/exchange/Tip-RecallMessage.htm
Otherwise leave it alone and disconnect the RDP session and log back in tomorrow with the network cable unplugged and then delete it from the outbox, or if you are using Outlook, in the right-hand status pane (bottom right) right click the connection status and select work offlne.Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0 -
ok but now we need to know, what was it that she didn't want her boss to see
