Right then, I have never had a problem with AVG and would rather not move. I really don't need the arguments. I am just having problems just now with AVG and had previous probs with Avast.

Just construtive comments please.

If you post us the HIJACK log GB, we can see whats running (which in turn could possibly tell us WHY its not working)
Did you try updating minus the firewall?

Hi

Just an update. There were traces of previous AVG installations on the hard drive, completely removed and then did another download and installation having turned off firewall. Firewall turned on once installation etc was complete. Everything now seems to be working OK.
