Is the any way/program that i can use to get data of this drive before i format it.
When plugged into my pc as a slave drive XP recognizes it but not any of the data on it, it just see's it as an empty drive, so i guess the MBR has gone.
It just says the drive needs formating but i'd like to get some data off it 1st. Is there anything that will do this?
any help appreciated

if you use a linux CD like Knoppix then you should be able to see the data unless the hard disk is deadEx forum ambassador
