By the sounds of it there's not much market in it. Do people think it'd be more or less worthwhile for the OP to grow the chillies and harvest them, then either dry them and sell dried chillies, or stick them in oil in jars?

Or is that yet more cost/time/faffing about for an equally slim return?

    You can sell them.

My MIL sold over £200 worth of veg plants this summer - the chillies and peppers were great sellers but they were very strong plants and about 8 inches high in good sturdy pots.

another good seller were the giant sunflowers.
    Kind Regards

Once you get into processing edibles, that opens up another can of worms, I'm afraid! (mainly Health & Safety, Trading Standards etc.) Even selling unprocessed items, many venues, including once-a-year things, now require you to have 3rd Party insurance. We have become a litigious society.

I'll check but i'm sure it was £1 a plant and they flew out and i know she made a huge profit. It was at a car boot sale near Dunstable.
