Don;t worry, if you don't have an IPA, and your income has gone down, I can't see them being too concerned.

If it was the other way around, and there was a potential increase in IPA, they would show more of an interest!
  • I'm just waiting for a revised council tax bill (I now am entitled to a reduction) and then I will do a new form. Thank you for all your help x

Thank you fiveyearplan, just saw your message.
Yes, I've heard of the forms they send, so fingers crossed I get these and can start to breathe again! My case was very straight forward. £12k of personal debt, two babies close together = 2 lots of stat mat pay and being silly by relying on house to gain equity to clear debts (it didnt!).

Hi Dolly-Rocket, I had two babies close together, hence two periods of maternity leave and stat maternity pay. didn't help my situation either and we tried secured loans to clear debts and that didn't come to pass. only difference is I got more personal debt! I have a 14 month gap between my two, both unplanned too. :o

Hopefully yours is very straightforward and you can just look forward to your early discharge now. keep us posted.

  • Thanks Don
    Sounds just like me!
Ours were planned as our son died in 2001 as a new born. I guess the grief of losing him and having to wait 4 years for another didnt really allow us to be sensible and budget! I also bought the girls so much stuff on credit, as a way of adding to my love, which seems strange now, but it was my way of dealing with things.
We tried securing debts on our home (thank God we didnt and read the small print!) and then tried the IVA route, so here we are now!
Fingers crossed for a bright future! XXXXXXXXXX
