Ladies, are you on facebook? I'm having a home show on Sep 2nd and set it up on facebook as an event. Then invited all the facebook friends (some are guests and hostesses) and told them to bring friends. Also have put out flyers and emailed all the guests/hostesses I have email addresses for.

Hi guys,

Can I just ask something please?? I have received all my info from Partylite with regards to consultant number, etc. In the pack was a separate sheet with a list of discontinued products as at 31/08/09......Is it me or is this list quite biggggg? I have another show tomorrow night and I'm a bit concerned that if someone buys something that's on the list, it won't be available?!!

Please help!!

Also, can some of you give me some tips on what you actually say to people! I seem to open the show really well, thanking the hostess, giving a background into the products, etc but then get stuck.....:rolleyes:

That was all I did - you're probably right about coming to nosey though! To be fair they did buy a couple of the shop things and I'm probably going to get an order later from one of them, so it's always worth a try.

The discontinued list just mean they will not be in the new autumn/winter catalogue which starts on 1st sept, so don't worry not a huge thing most defo all the stock will be fine.

Tips on what to say - this depends on you as a person you need to find words which you are happy with - have you been to training? ask to go out with your leader and see how she does it.

Personally I keep it simple but fun - when I first started I got "L" plates and put them on my display and told everyone I was new and to be gentle with me and this got laughs as well as people trying to help me out!

Just wish I had nosey neighbours (lol)
To be fair I live next to a sheltered housing and I have done a fundraiser there for them and was one of my best ever parties.

Ideal place to be looking at moment is schools - as they will be starting new term and have new PTA's looking to raise funds etc this is my next to do list (lol):D

Well Im up to £200. If I can get another £100 I will buy a gift certificate for the last £100 so that I achieve the £400 this month. I want to buy stuff from the new catalogue anyway lol.

Well thats 20 catalogues out, fingers crossed I get something from them! My party still only has one guest :-(

Nothing for me, but a few catalogues weren't put out for collection, so maybe something will come from those. Hey ho, less order forms to write out!

I'm gearing up to do a big drop of the new catalogues shortly, so maybe people will be more inclined to buy then.

Thats a shame Liz, dont be too disheartened. How many did you put out again? What did you put in them? I have offered a 15% introductory offer with mine!! Taking a catalogue out with me tonight.
Looks like my home show might be cancelled though :-(
