As I am now a SAHM we eat at home a lot of the time, however my husband would love a little kit to take to work with him. It is actually a breakfast he eats, normally comprising of HM sandwiches, a yoghurt (sometimes plain, sometimes a nice one as a treat), fruit- normally a satsuma, and a nice HM biccie, all washed down with some tea. This costs approx £1- £1.50 per day. Buying at work would cost him a lot more! I think he often wonders what I do on MSE and a lovely little pressie for him would make him realise just how good MSE is!

  • It varies day to day, but on average about £2.00 a day.
  • If I go out to the sandwhich shop (which I do about twice a week) then it costs me about £3 for a chicken bap and chips or a sausage baguette.
  • I try to spend no more than £1.00 on my lunch. I take a packed lunch so keeping the cost down is easier. Kim
  • I search for discounted bargains with a £1 limit plus a drink of Robinson's Barley water which costs about 5p. If there are no bargains I take a homemade sandwich costing less than £1:A
  • Have made some fab spicy soups - bbc food and slimming world websites have some good recipes. Spending about £1 on lunch (if organised - can be a lot more if not got head in gear when in supermarket!).
  • 2 lunches per day for husband and daughter. Daily spend about £3.50
