Both my partner and I usually take our lunches to work every day (very MSE!) but for me, I find that this means that if I haven't brought my lunch I tend to spend even more ... so last week I took my lunch four days and the day I bought lunch it cost £9, as I went out.

If I pack my lunch I reckon it's under £2 a day, as we try to buy our lunch stuff little and often from the marked down stuff in the supermarket!

I'm afraid I'm a Greggs-worshipper, so about £1 to £2 a day plus extra for crisps or Aldi jelly beans!

I spend about £5, at most £10 a week. I'm a support worker and can eat in work, also i cook for the week and freeze it, today i'm having a some of a large biryani i cooked at the weekend. I'll rarely buy a prepacked lunch. So ok, sometimes i'll have a meal out, but it all evens out like.

I usually spend around £3 to £4 a day on lunch I really muct pack up Credit crunch !

Never more than £1.00 per head. I try to use home grown veggies as much as possible and usually some home made yoghurt with fruit. Healthy and Cheap is the key!!!

About 80p a day as i also have lunch at home.

I take pack up most days, btut occasionally buy a sandwich for 99p at Tesco's!!

Variable cost

Normally a homemade ham sarnie - two slices bread, bit of ham and a nice cup of tea so about 70p - £1. But then a I might have a 'treat' - cream cake (over £1 - rip off i know) ot anything on BOGOF at Tesco's!

I think I spend less than a pound on lunch - sandwiches, fruit and home made treats

We just got a microwave in our office so I know re-heat leftovers for me lunch. Very Moneysaving! The cost would probably be about 50p.
