I make mine at home and when taking sandwiches, I'd guess an average of a pound a day. If I'm taking HM soup and HM bread, much less.

Try to take packed lunch most days, so about £1.50.

I take half a carton of Sainsbury's soup and a roll (usually a reduced one from Sainsburys), and my hubby gets the other half and another roll. I take my own stuff in for cups of tea so that helps save money too.

In summer we take in salad, which we mostly grow by ourselves in our garden.
