I try and make a packed lunch for DS - but he's not keen on sandwiches - so we end up buying small ready meals (he's a growing lad!) for about £2 and then of course there are hot drinks on top of that and yogs, and crisps and cakes.....oh the list goes on........probably nearer £5 when its all addded up. Would love a Packed Lunch Set - I could make so much more of it at home, the day before.........

I spend less than £1. Homemade leftover soup, homemade bread (2 slices), homemade yogurt, fruit and a couple of Twinks Hob Nobs.

  • £3 a day average but some days nothing at all!
  • A fortune, I have the fridge stocked with ham, tomatoes, lettuce, mayonnaise and buy fresh rolls every day. I have 2 hungry teenage boys so this doesn't help keep the cost down, I'd say around £5-£6 a day cause they want a bottle of water, a yogurt and a piece of fruit as well - AAAAAAA - I hadn't realised how much I spent!!!!!

Usually less than £1 - HM veggie soup with pulses for protein plus a piece of fruit. If I (very occasionally) buy lunch in the staff canteen I usually get beans & chips or beans & a jacket potato for just under £1. :A

I spend less than 50p a day - normally home made soup that I make in batches and freeze in portion sizes.
When life hands you lemons, ask for tequilla and salt and give me a call!!!
  • For a family of 3 I spend about £3 - £4 for all of us. We all take packed lunches (or DH and I sometimes take last night's leftover dinner) :D
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)
  • I spend £2.50 a day on lunch
