Approx 80p to £1 each for large packed lunch inc. drink.

Since a bottle of coke from vending machines at college/work would set us back a £1 a time, we either take our own (decanted from a 2 litre 'value cola' bottle into smaller, more portable bottles) or opt to drink 'corporation pop' (tap water)

Would love one of the snazzy packed lunch sets for DD - DH + I aren't proud and so use an assortment of recycled icecream/margarine tubs and recycled drink bottles for our packed lunches to save money on buying cling film, lunchboxes - but being an impressional teen, she would be appreciate something a bit upmarket for college

    Good luck everyone!
  • Spend around £3.00 on salad/oily fish etc & a couple of bits of fruit.
but usually take cereal on a morning(i work shifts)
company vending machine is a rip off so i dont bother with that!!
  • I'd say about £2 - as I'm allergic to wheat and dairy and yeast it's really hard to find good food that is cheap and convenient, especially being a single mum.

I spend about 80p - £1 on anything from homemade soup and homemade yoghurt or pitta bread with homemade houmous (spot the theme there).

It would be perfect for my OH - he usually has last nights leftovers shoved into a old ice cream box (because he is a plumber and isn't allowed to use our nice stuff) it would be wonderful if he could have his own lunchbox and for the food to be seperated out - soup in a box just doesn't work!!
As we use leftovers - probabaly spend less than 25p on lunch each day and I come home at lunch and have a slice of HM bread and jam!!
  • I spend about £1.50 between 2 of us - retired now, so watching the pennies!
