  • I spend about £2.70 per day - outrageous!
  • I usually take my own to work each day, either sarnies or bread & fillings to make a toasted sandwich in the works kitchen. I also keep a pack of cup-a soup in the cupboard. Tea & coffee is paid for by the company so no expense for me there! I guess it prob costs approx £1 per day, although sometimes I'll pop to the chippie directly opposite & spend £1.80!

    I spend very little on lunch cos I make my own, but I want this for my son who has just started work, and I want to encourage him to take packed lunches instead of spending a fortune on bought sandwiches, creating lots of packaging!!

    DS has money twice a week (£5 incl bus fare each time!), DH comes home, so he, DS baby & me cost about £5 a week together - toast/sarnie for Dh & me, leftovers heated up for baby.

  • Well, it varies, but on average I guess about £2.20. Mixture of make my own and subsidised canteen.
