I used to spend over 3 pounds a day just for my lunch, now usually less than 3 pounds for 4 of us, HM rolls, big packs sliced meats (portioned and frozen so no waste), mayo or tomato, piece of fruit. I sometimes take HM soup as have a MW at work, this has leaked into my bag twice in the last month, but used up the rest anyway.

I'd say less than £1 per day for myself as I eat at home. My children have packed lunch which probably costs less than £1 each too. My husband's packed lunch is probably about £1.80 as he eats more.0

Great saving especially for those of us trying to cut down by taking packed lunches to work/school.
I did spend about £7-£8 a day on mine and DDs lunches each day but costs less than half that now we make up our own.Books - the original virtual reality.

Lunch usually costs me about £2.75 for a modest sandwich, 60p for a bag of crisps and £1.75 for a large coffee.
Total £5.10, which does mount up over the weeks and months.....
A lunch pack, prepared at home before leaving, would cost me approx. £1.50 for a better quality meal and leave a balance to share with the guy selling the Big Issue.
