Lunch can be really difficult for me.
Sometimes I can start at 4am so my "lunchtime" could be around 9am and sndwiches that early in the am isn't always appealing.
We haven't got a fridge or microwave at work so it makes it even harder to take packed lunch. If I want something hot then most of the time I have no option but to buy at work.
There are no discounts for staff so if I ear at work then my lunch can cost between £6-£10 :eek:Lightbulb moment Dec 2005 - debt £23700
June 2010 - £17984.210 -
My son takes a "Healthy options" packed lunch:cool: every day, he loves salad and fruit and I often make a salad box with pasta. I guess Im lucky he was taught young and stuck to it as lots of children develop a taste for junk food at an early age.
The total cost for the day is approx 50 - 60p.0 -
I suspect I only spend a pound or so each day on my lunch as I make a sandwich and take a packet of crisps and fruit and fill a bottle with water from the tap.0

Sounds very useful! My spend varies - from £1 if I make my own lunch, to £3 for a standard sandwich, to £5 if I fancy a nice takeaway.0
