im going to be applying for dla mobility but im unsure if i qualify for care. i have problems with my hip and at the moement i can manage to do certain things but to do them in very painfull ie i cant bend my left leg withouth being in pain so getting in and out of bed is painfull putting my jeans on is very painfull and same with tying my shoe laces , getting in and out of the bath is just as bad but i dont know if this counts because u can have a shower? when the pain is full on i canot move what so ever its too pain full and this can last well over an hour. i cant bend down to get things out of the overn without pain which could be dangrous lifting hot pans.
i dont want to apply for care if it will affect my mobility what do you think would i be entitled?

Only a Decision Maker can decide if you would be entitled, and my motto is when in doubt "claim" it certainly shouldnt affect your chances of getting mobility, have a read at the link below

you might get some better idea after looking at the arthritis care factsheet

there are some good tips including the fact that fatigue is also as important to mention as pain is.
they also suggest you keep a short diary of the times when you have needed care over a few days to help you filling in the info.0
