grand old age of 60 is when he will get it....so a few years yet

however i couldn't tell you what he will get.

Indeed it is 60 when he will receive his pension.

He will get 32% ish of a staffy annual income in 16 years time ie. aged 60. And it will be 18/22 of that.

eg. If a staffy final annual salary is say £40.000 the annual pension will be 32% X 40,000 = 12,800 per annum. Now your hubby will get 18/22 of that which is 12,800/22= £581.00 x 18= 10.472.

So if i am correct he would get £10.472 annual pension and also plus 3 X 10.472 = £31,418 as a lump sum as well.

I was medically discharged in 2006 after 18 years service in the RAF. I left as a Cpl and receive a medical pension, for which I'm grateful, despite the pain I constantly live with!!

I'm now getting conflicting information as to whether I will receive a military pension at age 60. Some say yes but I'll have to apply for it and some say no. Does anyone have any definitive answers?

Not being greedy, but as the MOD failed to treat my injuries for 5 years (it took the American military to discover the truth) then failed to offer any rehab after my NHS op, I'd like to get what I can.
If I'm not going to get a pension, I won't be devastated, so don't worry about posting bad news!!!

You will get your pension just like anybody else,
as you know as you didn't complete your service you will have to wait until you are 60,

Forget any mention of the new AFPS 05 as you will have been opn the AFPS75 so 60 it is

Cheers Lee. Knew I'd been on AFPS75 as I refused to sign on to AFPS05. Good to know I'll get a few bob more. Only 23 years to go!!!
