So the big day is only 6 months away and we have a deposit on the venue, dress deposit paid for so we thought it would be time to get wedding insurance.
Can anyone recommend a company, and this being money saving website, a cheap one that wont rip you off. We only need about £10-15k cover.

I know of a couple of companies that do Wedding Insurance.
Event Insurance, Allianz WeddingInsurance both can be obtained using a local broker.
Also M&S do a policy which is underwritten by Ecclesiastical.

I'm getting married in around 6 months and have recently used E&L:

I compared them to M&S and they seemed a little cheaper, but take a look for yourself.0 -
I keep getting leaflets for these people when i go to wedding fayres,

Hi! I'm looking for wedding insurance as well. I have on e thing against me and that is that i'm getting married abroad. Do all insurances cover weddings abroad, or do I have to pay a premium for this?
I'm not particularly worried about prices as it is a one off payment and they all seem reasonable enough, but I do want an insurance that will cover against any eventuality. They seem to differ on this, i.e. M&S will cover cancellation due to lack of funds or either partner deciding not to marry (although I'm not sure if they actually cover overseas weddings), whilst confetti doesn't (but they do cover overseas weddings).
Is there an easier way to actually compare them all? I have tried the most common comparison websites and they don't seem to cover this area. I have even tried to google the comparisons but to no avail.
I need help as time is getting on and I have already paid for the dress...0 -
Chinesa1,
the link i posted includes overseas insurance if it helps, i would like to know a bit more about them myself.
Are you going through a tour opperator? if so perhaps they offer some kind of insurance?kicking squealing gucci little piggy.0 -
Thank you ITtim.
I'm not goign through an operator. My family is all abroad, so they are taking care of it for me. However that means that there is no tour operator.
I have heard quite a few bad things about E and L refusing to pay out, but they were my favourites, seen as the coverage and price is very competitive.
There doesn't seem to be a lot of reviews or information for that matter on wedding insurance and I really don't know which one to go for.0 -
fingers crossed none of us will ever need to find out how good or bad they are!!kicking squealing gucci little piggy.0
