Guernsey help please

Have got a job interview on Guernsey and want to stay overnight (and take my Mum as she needs a break). Never been before and have to fly as I really don't do boats. No comments please - believe me I've been sick on the IOW ferry.
So need cheap as poss flights from Southampton or Gatwick and any tips on cheap B&B's on the island.
My interview is in Vale - no idea where that is in relation to the airport.
Any other Guernsey pointers gratefully received.

When we went to Guernsey I looked on their Tourist Info website - try Googling Guernsey Tourist Information - it might be something like visitguernsey.com but I'm not certain.

Anyway transport round Guernsey is a breeze. There is a good bus service and timetables are on the same website. You can get buses from the airport to several areas. If not to Vale, then go into town (St Peter Port) and change there. The drivers were very friendly and helpful to us.

I only know about flights from Exeter which are with Flybe. I know they go from Southampton too so perhaps worth looking on their website www.flybe.com The flight is pretty short, something like 40 minutes from Exeter and I would guess similar or less from Southampton.

Me and my mum are off to Guernsey soon. Try Aurigny air who fly from Gatwick. On their website they also do hotels. Also Laterooms.com or booking.com are good for their hotels. Have a great time and good luck with the interview

If you haven't already been, most of the B&Bs over here are pretty good as far as I know but because I live here I've never really had much use of them! The bus service is very good, but might be worth hiring a car. The Vale is up the other end of the island to the airport so not really walking distance.
