Argos Home delivery rant

I'm really mad
I needed a new chest of drawers for my little boy so had a look in the catalogue and on the Argos website, the set I chose wasn't available for store pick up so you could only have it delivered to your home, it wasn't out of stock in the store might I add, it is only available for home delivery (lord knows why when it was flat pack)
That's fine, but then I have to pay £5.95 delivery on top of the price of the drawers which really annoys me
Yes I appreciate everywhere has delivery charges but am I the only one to think that with Argos, if they can't provide it in store to be collected and you have no choice for it to be delivered then delivery should not be charged for

Go to Ikea.
Argos furniture is often terrible."One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -
Certain items are too big to be kept in the store stockrooms, and even if there was enough room they would probably too heavy to be lifted by store staff! That's why the delivery guys have special equipment to do transfer heavy items.
As for delivery charge, £5.95 for any number of items and any sizes, is nothing compared to MFI's £10 minimum size dependant order and IKEA's £7.50...[DISCLAIMER: Any posts made by myself are my opinions and do not represent my employer]
God put me on Earth to acomplish a certain number of things.
Right now I am so far behind I will probably never be allowed to die!0 -
