If this is a debt on your DMP (and you are not referring to a mortgage or secured loan with Northern Rock), and they require an update of your situation, then you can ring our Client Support team for a review and update of your budget. This will then be forwarded to your creditors. If you have been on a DMP with us for 9 months, your review would be due shortly anyway.

Thank you - I have spoken to Northern Rock and I am going to send a current SOA and write on the paper when our review is due. They were very friendly - amazing!!

  • I have debts totalling approximately £7000 from when I was a householder nearly 10 years ago. I am paying these off at nearly £40 a month to various debt collection agencies. I am now a disabled pensioner and cannot really afford to pay this amount. Would it be a good idea to go bankrupt as I have no assets and live in sheltered accomodation.

    hi there,
i have been harrassed by hfo, and have sent them a harrassment letter, and a cca request, and they recieved the request on the 24/11 08 and cashed the p.o. for £1 for cca on the 27/11
so far i have recieved a notice of assignment of debt and a notice of additional charges and further recovery action letters from them, on the 24/11
but what has totally shocked me is that they have sent a letter addressed to me, but at my brother in laws house!!!
i havn't a clue how they managed to get his address, he phoned them and made out not to know me, and they said to throw the letter away, and then proceeded to tell him it was ment for me and gave out my address!!! this is without giving out all my details on the letter, to anyone who minded to open it! luckily it was my brother in law. is this illegal, and can i report them?
at present i am waiting for my docs to come back from barclays to check my charges.
i would appreciate your help in any way... many thanks!
i keep losing weight, but it just keeps on finding me!!!!!!:D

Hi - hope someone is around to help!
I've lost my CCCS Transcash slip to make Decembers payment - can i pay with the little tabs that get sent with your welcome pack? I'm in a right panic because its only payment number2 and its going to be late now :(

    Hi
Managed to get the info you required regarding payment of your DMP.

You can pay by bank Transcash Slips. These can be picked up from the Post Office. You need to quote our TC credit account number: 6017754 and your client reference number.

    Regards

    Sue

If your on a DMP, and you sometime do overtime at work, not guarenteed overtime, but it may mean that some months my income can go up £200 1 month,

Can 1 off payments be included in the DMP, so say i do overtime for a couple of months and have £500 can this be given to be spread between my creditors or do they take a percentage?

How else can the DFD be brought forward without increasing the DMP payment evry month?

    Thanks
    Hi mbs 1

You do not mention whether you are currently on a DMP with CCCS or whether this is just a general question.

If you are on a DMP with CCCS, then the answer is yes, you could make lump sum payments to your DMP.
The amount would be done on a pro rata basis so that all the creditors received a fair share.
If you are on a DMP with us and you would like to start making additional payments then you would need to contact our Client Support team.

I am would be unable to comment on DMP’s with other companies.

    Regards

    CCCS.

had this interview arranged for ages. When the guy phoned he just said my best bet was to go bankrupt and pointed me to a website to download form etc.
Not being ungrateful would have liked a bit more advice and help.
    Is this the norm.

    Hi

Sorry to hear you were disappointed with your appointment.

When you had your appointment the counsellor would have looked at your income and expenditure and put together a budget for you.

This would have given him the information he required to give you the best option for your situation.

If bankruptcy was the best option for you then he should have told you the advantages and disadvantages of bankruptcy and also how to proceed, which would have included downloading the forms from the website.

If you feel you would benefit from more information regarding the bankruptcy option then we do have a bankruptcy support team.

If you would like to give us a ring back, we can put you in touch with them.

    Regards

  • Hi

Please advise. I have a DMP with CCCS and it has been running for approx 2.5 years. Was the best thing i have ever done and the debt is nearly halfed, £20K to almost £10K.

Recently i had a very stressful converstaion from the main debtors debt agency forcing me to try and pay and that i need to go and get advce to get a loan to go and pay the whole balance, Approx £9K.

Now the debt is with another deby recovery company and there first converstaion was along the same lines.

CCCS have sent my updated plan, from August but i have recived 3 calls on the answerphone at home, no messages left, but when i do 1471 it is this company. They are ringing throughout the day when i am at work.

I am paying the maximum i can afford, actually more as on my last appraissal i was told i could reduce my payment but i refused as i want to pay the debt as soon as possible.

Should i be concerned by the behaviour of these debt recovery companies?

    Thanks in advance

We had a bailiff call round today to collect money, we missed a couple of arranged payments due to a car crash and loss of earnings about a month ago.
total debt at the time was 177.01
the bailiff has now told me that I must pay 267.01 to him on friday or he will remove posessions from my home.
now I can understand them adding a charge for coming out onto the debt, but it states reasonable charge, I don't see how 49% of my initial debt can be deemed to be reasonable. Are there any guidlines on the amount they can charge, do i have any comeback at all?
I have arranged to make the payment on friday but I'm just a bit p**sed off at the moment after the way this bailiff harrased my pregnant wife on the doorstep this afternoon.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Marc
    Hi Marc
You could try writing a letter requesting a refund but the company will attempt to justify their charges by saying they are entitled to charge levy fees, attendance to remove fees etc.
I have attached a link to Bailiff Advice on line which may help you further click here
    Hope this helps

  • Hi,

I have been on a DMP with the CCCs for about 18 months and was wondering if I am still able to make a claim for bank/credit card charges?

Please let me know as this would help clear a considerable chunck of my £20k debt.

Here's hoping and thanks for your help,
