I have some video clips of the children that I have saved on my PC and want my family in the US to be able to see. Does anyone know of any free web site that allows you to upload your own movies and then give access to others to view? I know AOL do this with photos but I can't find one for movies....the only movie site I can find that shares allows full public access.
Hope this question makes sense to someone out there!!
Thanks.

http://www.freespaces.com/ you could get one of these and upload a file.
Dont forget it will have to be smallish files, what size you talking about?0 -

At the risk of sounding incredibly thick I assume you mean you would post it the old fashioned way on a disc in the mail LOL I usually do that but just had something sweet I wanted her to see today..The smallest deed is greater than the grandest intention ~ Anonymous0

Well yes sorry,, exactly that..... Or just cut out the bit you want then email it.
As long as its no more that Oooooh 6-8meg and your ISP will let you send
video files and the recipient an accept video files.0 -
If the file size is 80MB, Even if you upload this to some webspace this could take a while. Presuming you are on AOL broadband with 256Mb upload speed. It would take you approx 45 to 50 minutes for you to upload this at full speed. This would be a big file for the family to download at their end. If they are on dialup, you are talking an all night jobby for them to download it.
It really may be easier to just burn it onto a CD and post it to them. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

You can send files up to 1Gig privately by uploading them to http://www.yousendit.com/ and you insert your families email address and they get an email giving them the link to download it from. It might take a while to upload because of your upload speed but the download from the site is lightening quick.
Rex, you might like to try this with a file. Just enter your own email in the recipients box.0 -

LOL.........Cheers for the thought John but I get 1GB of free webspace with my ISP (Zen). When I want to let my cousin (in Australia) see any movies/files I may have. I upload them onto this and send her the webpage address. I find this is more personal because I normally send her a little message on the webpage as well (I do a little personal webpage for the family over there at the same time for each file I send). How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?
