Yeh wokkies I agree with you....We were in the Huge Fireworks accident that happened at our local display in 1997...We were on the front row ,,,me ,DH eldest son and 2 of my girls...It was horrific...It was a Organised display put on by a famous firework company..(Wont name them).
One of the huge crates fell over and was firing the fireworks into the crowd and they are really really big not like garden fireworks at all...I remember seeing massive balls of light tons and tons of them coming at us and screaming and people running it was mayhem...My pushchair was knocked over and a firework hit the side of it. I lost my then youngest daughter and i was crying. There was a lorry on fire and my eldest son had got my daughter underneath it and didnt know the Tarporlin on the side was on fire...When husband found us it was a case of burnt coats more than injuries but my daughter is a bag of nerves even now....Loads of people sued them but we didnt cause I'm not like that..It was all over the news....The company involved, their men ran off upset when they saw what was happening but the People who own the big superstore where it happened opened all the shop up and put hot drinks on and loads and loads of ambulances.....This is why my kids are petrified of fireworks..

On sunday someone threw a Rocket over my gate and it exploded in the garden...If the kids, my dog or my cats were there I dread what could have happened.

I know exactly what you mean wokkies.

Don't know if anyone remembers little Rory Blackhall. He was the same age as my DS2 and his big brother was at school with DS1. There are no pavements in Livingston. There are only specially built underpasses. You think this would mean your kids are safe. But maybe from the traffic but the pathways are so isolated and have high bushes either side. I don't use them and neither do the kids. Livingston is relatively crime free but I hate the pathways and underpasses and I think they made it easier for that monster to do what he did.

That is horrific,the poor child.
Hearing about that poor baby today left me i tears, the world can be a very cruel place.
Ive always been brought up to belive that all children are gods children and we all have a responsibility to look out for others as well as our own.
The people that commit any crime against children dont belong in our society.
It sickens me, especially about that baby today, he never had a life,
Theres people like me and bucks that would move the earth to nurture another lil one and give them the most love and security a lo could ever want and then theres the b@stards who hurt innocent lil ones, why on earth after 60 social service visits was that poor baby left there?.
