Oh I remember the elf yourself :D We had such a laugh with that - thanks for finding the link again, will have the giggles again for sure :D

On another note, just having a squizz through the I Wons... anyone know why Nightshade is bumping threads from 2005? And also why cathyj is also commenting? They are over 3 years old!
Sad because you don't know what to do? Comping question? Take a look in the Comping Guide to find out

Blimey, that's quite an accent you got going on there Chris :D htsi wanit? :D I'm along the A2 in Gravesend, but used to live in Sittingbourne which is closer along the A2 to Folkestone. At the moment I'm up in Kettering & it has been a really windy/rainy day today up here.

Easter - that must be so scary with night terrors  I don't think I'd know what to do, although listening to the other parents in here it sounds like you are doing the perfect thing in the situation. I know you said that she is fully awake, but does she remember anything in the morning? I know when I was young & I went through about a week of really horrible nightmares my mum sat on the bed at bedtime & told me that I had an angel looking after me & would keep the nightmares & horrible creatures away. It worked really well & I don't remember any nightmares after that - was also able to do the thing in my dreams where I know I am dreaming & can make things happen in my dream - so if it is about to go somewhere that I don't want it to, I can change what is happening. Think that is called lucid dreaming & it is so much fun :) Maybe have a chat to DD about her angel if you think that would work?

    quoted from vgs post xx

easter evan had them from 4 till 7 xxx i tried many things,
he literally tried to get out the windows whilst scratching me up and screaming like he was being attacked, i was beyond devatstaed as it was just me and him and we had such a nice home life.
i went down various roads, i refused the sleeping meds.
in the end i used lavendar massge oil and warm bath routine, and a mad thing an american site suggested is to leave his feet uncovered after a week of all those things combined they stopped.
i had dr's . health visitors all sorts involved but they were usless.
im sorry didnt respond earlier ive had alot on my plate today and have a migraine to boot.
the shock of night terrors was dreadful, his eyes would be open and he couldnt see me but was screming for me then would attack me without acknowledging me trying to fight for his life, i described it as being tied to a lamp post and watching my lil boy being run over night after night after night.
he had them approx 3/4 times a week for all those years. xxx
its all do with the R.E.M stage of sleep, its like a trigger misfiring for them. they always happen within 2 hours of sleep.
god this takes me back, i used to go to work with cuts and marks all over my face from his attacks xx luckily my neighbours were fully aware xxx hence he slept with me till he stopped them xxxx he never remembered anything and i never brought it up to him xxxx
