Nice for people to profiteer at other people's expense. Hope one day it doesnt happen to you when you have kids and they have to do without because a parent can't get a item due to demand and or greedy Ebayers charging vastly inflated prices. :rudolf: :xmassign:

Ebayes don't CHARGE anything. It's an auction!
The item goes for what Buyers want to pay for it.If the demand isn't there the seller loses out. It's the BUYERS who set the price :)

Not technically true, the seller can set a starting price as well as a buy it now option. But yes, a buyer will ultimately either make their bid or choose to pay the buy it now price. There are some 'nicer' sorts on the avforums who have ended up with 2 consoles and are selling at 'fair' prices...

Thanks for that Izzy I am quite aware how auctions work. However that doesn't excuse people mealy buying them to sell on hopefully for a profit.

Perhaps one day when you have kids you know why parents go through at this time of year.

I don't want to add further to the debate.
