Is our home falling down?!

I'm back now!! Sorry if I kept you wondering - just had to go out for a few hours, I couldn't bare listening to it any longer!! Glad to say everything is still in one piece! It has been windy here but then in Lincs it often is, and I've never heard noises like that before. Definitely wasn't the heating! I've inspected again, inside and out and have noticed the window / frame has give in it when I gently push the frame in the center at the bottom - there's no breeze coming in thankfully. The noise sounded as though it was coming from underneath the outside walls in our bedroom, in a select area that gradually travelled along (our bedroom is on the corner). I know our road outside has damaged drains and a couple of our neighbours have trouble with flooding. I've built up a picture of our home sitting on a massive underground lake softening the timber joists!! It was definitely movement of some kind! Oh well, I'll just stay in the lounge with the tv up loud just in case it starts up again!!0

Have you called your insurance company?Pawpurrs x

Yes you deffo need to contact your insurance company and explain about the noises, ask them to get someone out asap as you believe that the house is moving, explain about the window and where the noise was coming from.
If the road does have damaged drains this could affect your property.
Who are you insured with?0 -
No I'm just going to try looking into it now - whilst dealing with my darling little screamer - just one of those days today!!0
