pay pal how long doe's it take ?

paid by pay pal still no e.mail saying I've paid is this usual plus how long can it take,do they have slow times etc look forward to hearing from anyone with any ideas cheers Leachy

In theory PayPal should send out a confirmation e-mail straight away. However sometimes there can be delays caused by your ISP or the Internet having a slow day, or PayPal themselves having problems. Unfortunately, recently there have been some pretty bad delays, with some people's PayPal notifications being delayed by many hours or more.

Log into your PayPal account and see if a record of your transaction is there. If it is then your transaction has gone through ok.

If it makes you feel any better i paid for an item at about 3pm and i havent had an email and it is showing up on Ebay as pending. I had funds in my account to cover it so it is not because the seller has had to update their account.

I have had a look in my pay pal account and nothing is showing up ie I have no new payments, it did seem to take a long time after i pressed the pay button to go if you know what I'm saying should I make another payment or wait a while????

Why dont you email the seller and ask if its been paid .

When you were paying, did you get a confirmation screen telling you that the payment had gone through?

I wouldn't send another payment yet. If you are worried about the seller, just send them a quick note explaining what has happened and that if it turns out that the payment hasn't gone through, you will send another one later.

To be honest I can't remember if I got a confirmation screen.I'll give it 24 hrs and if nothing has happened I will pay again, does this happen often? as it's the first time for me . by the way Many thanks for all your advice it's nice to know that there is help on this forum. :beer:
