How old is the console, you can send it to ms for a free repair if the 2nd, 3rd and 4th rings are red, just call xbox support and tell them the xbox has 3 red rings and they will log the repair and send u instructions as well as a label, you will need a box as well to put it in, you can get the box from the local supermarket0 -

Microsoft. They extended the warranty to 3 years for the RROD. Phone them up, they send someone to collect it and in a months time, you get a replacement and if you've a XBL gold Subscription, vouchers to cover the time you've lost.
You only need to send the main console back, so keep the leads, PSU, hard drive, controllers and manuals.0
