Hi Folks,
I am a total Newbie to the Site so bear with me.
I am currently renovating my bathroom and am looking for a quality shower enclosure. Builder tells me I need one with a stone resin type tray.
Am on a budget, and need to find one that is child-proof/friendly.
Trouble is don't know where to start and which brands to go for. Have been told to steer clear of B&Q. Aqualux have been suggested, as have Merlyn but seem pricey.
Any suggestions for a bow fronted shower enclosure would be appreciated.

nowt wrong with B&Q shower trays..as long as they are fitted correctly as they are fibreglass they are warmer lighter but will flex slightly if incorrectly fitted and tend to crack after use..The tray at the end of the day is what you stand in.. i would use a corne rof the bathroom a builder could knock up a brick wall in a day render and tile is releativly cheap. I would spend the money on the shower and shower head..curtain across front plus having a tile with around tray will give you bigger shower than you could buy pre moulded anyway.THE SHABBY SHABBY FOUNDER0

You will get what you pay for. Daryl are good but a little pricey, Novellini offer a compromise between cost and quality.Don’t be a can’t, be a can.0

Mira Flight, they are a good resin tray, I've fitted a few. You haven't said what size but a 900mm quadrant should be about £100 +vat trade.0

Have a look at Simpsons shower enclosures that come with a lifetime no-catches guarantee. Good, helpful & friendly customer service too. My parents had a slight leak on a seal on their new simpsons enclosure and called them out. Not cheap though - about £400 for a 800x800 square enclosure.
We will be getting a simpsons shower enclosure and mira flight tray for our bathroom from bathrooms365.com .
Hope that helps

I've been eying these up on Screwfix:

The bowed quadrant are about £150. I don't know what the quality is like but I would have thought they were ok.0 -
Made mine with (bq)base. Was mounting it in a corner so built false 3rd wall (plumbing and wiring in there). Then mounted bi-Fold door on the opening.
It wasnt flash but whole thing for less than £150.Had the shower allready though.0 -

Focus had a double cubicle with stone tray, we used it in our last house.
They have this one as well http://www.focusdiy.co.uk/Shower-Enclosures/U-Shaped-Quadrant-including-Cast-Stone-Tray/invt/214795
But we've used a Homebase plastic one, plus a verrrry solid plastic one from Bathstore, in our new place & both are fine.
