Thanks for the reply picklepick - i think it is a lovely dress too, we have asked for a purple sash to match the older bridemaids dresses. I have emailed them but havent got a response yet - im sure i am worrying unnessarily but I just want to make sure I do all I can to make sure they have the perfect day - including growing the pansies for the salad! :-)

I ordered the colour chart and I'm glad I did because the colour I would have choses for my bridesmaids dresses is so not what I wanted and I would have been gutted if I'd gone ahead and ordered! It did take a while to arrive though.

The white is, well, white! Not too much between the light ivory and ivory but when you see them together theres a definate distinction. Dark ivory is quite buttermilky looking IMO and champagne darker than that. Sorry I 'm not very good at describing!

I ordered swatches from Milly at $0.99 each in Ivory and Champagne and they are axact matches to Landy's Ivory and Champagne. So you could go down that route to get an idea of the colours without spending a fortune on the postage from Landy (Milly post theses out for free).

I hope that's been of some help to someone and I'm sorry if it hasn't been very clear!

Could be the satin. Duchess has less of a definate sheen whereas acetate is more shiny. Saying that, polyester duchess is more matt than pure silk duchess.

I think it worth be worth the money to order swatches. You just cannot go by photos. I am after a specific colour and eventhough the colour appears to be correct on screen, I very much doubt it will be when it arrives. There are several different shades of white ranging from blue through to pure white. Different fabrics also carry the colour differently. Dupion is more dense whereas satin can be much lighter and can absorb backing material colour.

Did you get yours from the ebay seller in the end?

I ordered mine midnight Monday and it arrived this morning - I am really pleased with it. The underbust one works so much better for me than the full one, and it still takes loads off the waist - my everyday trousers are hanging off me!!:rotfl:

This will definitely be getting worn again - numerous times lol.

I have it on just now, going to keep it on for a few hours and see how comfortable it is to wear after a while.

Thanks Nat!!! I have just ordered the swatches in Ivory and think it was called light chapagne (hope this is the same) off Milly, £1.40 all in, bargain!!!

how long did the Milly samples take to come? Just need to work out dark ivory now...

I ordered the underbust corset from the EBay Seller Corset Boulevard last night and got email this morning that its been sent in the post so that is really quick, it will be great to have it to try on with the dress, I just want the dress now this waiting is terrible.

That's the same company I used - they are really fast

Had mine on for a few hours, I'm really glad I went for the underbust one now.

Glad to be of help!

Took a couple of weeks to get here.

Dark Ivory is in between Ivory and Champagne, if that's any help! You might get a better idea once you see the 2 that you've ordered! I was impressed by the quality of the samples as well.
