I know, its mad how quickly it's moving! At East Midlands now - do you realise there's a chance our dresses could arrive tomorrow?!!!

Mine's a ladies knitting dress too!!!

How far away from you is it now? That is so exciting!

Mine is still at Heathrow, so must be waiting for a lorry to take it to Essex :(

Are you going to post pics up? What dress do you have again? SO EXCITED xxxx

Taken from my blog regarding lacing.

Many of these gowns have a lace up back closure, but there is an optimum lacing position so the dress fits snuggly under the arm and shows just the right amount of lacing. What many brides think, especially those who have their gowns made in China, is if a gown is a fraction too big the lacing can be pulled tighter for a better fit. This can result in puckers, wrinkles and sometimes the dreaded back fat spilling over the back of the gown. The fact is, the gown should still have the relevent alterations to the sides or bust to keep the back lacing in proportion.

Thanks for this, Linda. I'm going to bit the bullet and order custom made (although not for another year yet). I don't want to order too early because I might not be the same shape / size by the time the wedding comes round.

    Excellent!!
  • Saying that, I do already have a Monsoon wedding dress, but it's grecian and it's meant to be floaty and loose! It's my evening dress and will serve as backup for if Landy looks awful!

You lot make me laugh lol. You kind of put your trust in a company but always have the back up plan. Positive thinking!!!
  • Yep, i have back up plan too - PANIC lol.

If it goes wrong, I feel safer in the knowledge I have time to go to a real shop and spend an extortionate amount lol.

Hmmmm, not very MSE. And you don't have to spend an extortionate amount. You just gotta know where to look!
