Friend at work had one - bloody huge, and awkward to park, thirsty, expensive consumables, but if you like it and the price is right, why not?

2.5i engine not as torquey as the 3.0i but similar on fuel and insurance.
Routine servicing - not as expensive as you would expect, non-routine repairs outside warranty are expensive, try to buy one under warranty (under 3 years old) and then take out the BMW extended warranty.
Run-flat tyres are 20% more expensive that standard tyres and can be difficult to source. You can change to regular tyres.
    I wouldn't have said a Z4 was big.
If you want the view of people who actually own and live with a Z4 try posting your question here https://www.bmwland.co.uk ;)

Great cars to drive, but they are not perfect. Try to ignore that "BMW image", try one for yourself and make your own mind up.

    a nice wind-up chris!

seriously though: I've never been too hung-up about coming from a 'chav council estate', even if it was 30yrs ago.

you were thanked in error (nothing to do with the 3 bottles of krystal I drank earlier).

have a quick word with adrian: he seems to have a good idea about what constitutes a helpful post.

    there's a good lad..

I doubt the ch@v scum can afford them. They go for stuff like Corsas and Saxos - if they can afford a car at all that is.
  • Why do I get the impression that most people on this thread haven't got the slightest clue what a Z4 is?
