Evening all!
I'm back for my second week of training to become a domestic god... I suspect it's going to be the most taxing challenge I've had a stab at so far!
Minimal flying over the w/end as I will declare that one of the reasons I'm doing this is to be able to enjoy my flat and free time as best I can. The concert in West Wales was fantastic - we played the Elgar Cello Concerto with a 17yr old local kid called Steffan Morris who was just mind blowingly good. Most of the front row were in tears by the end and too right; he played beautifully. Will go far. I looked rather fetching in my dickie bow too hehe
So sorry to hear about the rabbit pigpen; hope all sobbing children are consolable. I remember my parents e-mailing me to tell me my rabbit had gone the same way... I was pretty bad and I was 20!!!!
Well, I've had quite a good evening, in between trying to write a presentation for a teaching sessiontomorrow lunchtime. So far I've come up with a topic, so it's going well. I've hoovered and realised quite how good this cleaning malarkey makes me feel [the dust that came out of the carpet was truly shocking... and it's less than a week since I last did it] smug tom...
I've also dusted lots, rearranged clutter so it looks lots neater (colour-coordinating clutter is to be recommended), chucked out or recycled 27 separate items just in the living room, cleaned the telly, watered the plants and made exciting soup from last nights roast. So just the presentation to do then!
More concerts this week but two days of annual leave at the end of the week-therefore only two more days at work to go!

toochoosey...........some people are really naughty, when they buy and forget to use pigsback (or quidco which I use the most) they say they used it and ask for the points, providing detials of the order when asked....eeeee shocking isn't it. Is it worth it? Well the last 12 months or so I've had over £1000 from Quidco inc shopping, insurance etc cashback.....my house contents insurance was £102 and I got £70 cashback (validated just waiting to be paid) so my contents insurance cost me the grand sum of £32 for the year
I paid that a month 2 years ago
Off to finish putting the bulbs away while listening to Dispatches (about gas/elec prices) on Channel 4 then going to cook fajitas
Tom pleased to see you back, definately have to stick with it now!One day I might be more organised...........

Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Lil_me: I've got those halogen downlighters in my flat and a few multilights. Looking around I've realised that roughly half the bulbs don't work but it's plenty bright enough... I figure I'm saving money by not replacing those bulbs and just arranging the remainder to make it look like I've only switched on selected ones!Debt free as of 01/06/13

To those who asked, sorry can't remember who at the mo. DD earache has worn off. She has been bouncing around as if there's nothing wrong with her:rolleyes: So school tomorrow for her. But she was poorly last night though.
pigpen - I agree with what others have said. In fact I would probably still be orbiting the atmosphere if my DH had done that to me.
Right I'm gonna unload and reload the washing machine. Then I shall try and catch up with what's been going on here today.0 -
Evening all
Cardiff - great minds think a like - we always have some of our halogens with blown bulbs in to save cash as it is bright enough.
Gas and Electric program very interesting but depressing too - what a scam.
Can't be bothered to do much (actually anything) this evening but tomorrow is another day.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Pigpen you know what needs to be done hun, ((hugs)) you could really do without obstructive behaviour. I agree, it's hard to see how this isn't deliberate.... even sub-consciously, it's still sabotage.MMSSB Club Founder Member
