I've found some motivation from somewhere - shame it's not to finish that presentation, but hey, at least I'm doing something. The front room has been in danger of getting in a bad state again so I've just been out and bought a cheapo (£20) bookcase thing from Homebase so that stuff can be stored neatly on it. I also bought some not so cheapo (£40!) kitchen spots from the lighting shop on the way back. I'll phone DiL's parents in the week and arrange a time for them to be fitted.

But, I was quite shocked driving through a little suburb. There were several empty shops which weren't empty last time I drove through there (about a month ago). Also, MFI on the same retail park as Homebase is closing down and Bensons Beds were having a 50% sale. I guess the recession is beginning to hit.

Off to find my electric screwdriver (best purchase I ever made!) and erect these shelves.

  • Yea but, and maybe this is me being naive and thinking everyone else is the same, if you got a PM and you didn't know what it was about, wouldn't you reply to the person and let them know they had sent it to the wrong one? Not exactly hard is it...

Ahh, just seen she's only posted once, that's why then... :) sorry to the other valli...

Greenbee - sending lots of thanks your way - it was your [STRIKE]nagging[/STRIKE] supporting posts which made me do my comparisons and I'm switching (after I've dropped DS1 to the driving range and had a cuppa). It was you who got me to clean that paddling pool in the summer too - you are a star!
