Thank you Tesco

I broke my ankle last week and though hubby offered to go shopping for me,you know what us women are like, want to do it ourselves. So knowing Tesc have wheelchairs,i asked him to pull up outside the drop off/pick up point right outside the store, park up then fetch a wheelchair to go round the store.

When we get there, there are two cars already parked in the bay.One has a young man sitting in the front passenger seat,no sign of a driver. The other ,an elderly man ,gets out, locks up and gets a trolley to go shopping  so there is no room to let me off, instead he has to park further up and i have to hobble with my crutches to the entrance.

As my husband took them back to the car after i got into a wheelchair,a sense of annoyance came over me and as he had parked me near the customer service area i caught sight of one of the regular ladies who i recognised, as i shop there every week anyway.I explained what had happened and she agreed it was just not on.So they got the reg no,by this time the other car had pulled away, the bloke getting back in being fully able, just been to the cash machine!! They gave out on the tannoy the reg no of the elderly man's car to ask him to move it.There are plenty of disabled spaces near the store so no excuse at all.

The customer service lady then came up,asked if we needed help, took away one full basket of shopping, got us another and put the basket to one side for when we had finished. When we went to the check out she met us and handed me a bunch of 10 pink roses and said she hoped that would make up for the struggle earlier in getting out. i was very touched, and really appreciate the kindness.
