Morphy Richards faulty kettle

I had a Morphy Richards kettle that our daughter gave us for Xmas 2007. WE noticed there was water leaking from around the switch, seeping on to the electric contact pad. I had no proof of purchase, but their prducts are supposed to be guaranteed for two years.
I rang their Customer Service, who asked for details including the model number and serial number on the base of the kettle, took my name and address, and sent me a new kettle within a few days.

I wish I could say the same for 'Prestige'.My son bought a kettle from them just over 2 years ago (Not cheap) and after some time its started to leak around all the plastic joints, leaving limescale deposits. When I rang their customer service they didn't want to know.I offered to send them photograghs and they said don't bother.Next time I will tell him to buy Morphy Richards.
