Advice re: Phil and Teds Sport Pushchair and car seat adapters

Hi
I was wondering if anyone had an experience of using the Phil and Teds sport pushchair (and doubles seat) with a Maxi Cosi Cabrio carseat.
I have been looking around on the web and have found two different types of adapter to attach the carseat to the frame - but nowhere mentions whether it is possible to use the Phil and Teds as a double pushchair at the same time as using it as a frame for the carseat.
The two types of adapter are:

and

Any advice would be greatly appreciated as bumpy will be arriving on Friday so I really need to make a decision quickly.
I would just like to add that I would only be using the carseat adapter for really short periods while bumpy is tiny so he wouldnt be stuck in the carseat for long periods of time.
Ta muchly

The second link says this
The main seat of the E3/SP needs to be reclined and the double kit cannot be used with a car seat.
Have you got a large toys r us near you? They stock the phil & ted and all the bits, so you can try it there.
I've ordered a P&T (not from TrU
) but it's not arrived yet, however I can't imagine how you could use the doubles kit with a car seat. The car seat bar attaches where the doubles kit would go on the front. So whilst in theory, baby could still hang low down on the main seat, surely you want baby in the car seat??
Presumably one child is older than the other, otherwise you'd have a different buggy. How I plan to use mine is baby in cocoon underneath, & bigger child on double seat at the front.
Good luck for Friday!0 -
Thanks Sooz
I completely missed that bit on the second link.
What I was wondering was whether it would work if the doubles seat was put on the back back (putting it into two x toddler mode) and then if the car seat adapter would fit onto where the bumper bar sits at the front(where the doubles seat would normally go if the pushchair was set up for baby to go in the cocoon and toddler to go in the doubles seat)?
Does that make sense or is my brain as addled as I think it is?£2008 for 2008 club member 3360 -

Quite possibly
That's what being pregnant does to you
Not sure if you can have the double seat on the back, as it says you need to have the 'normal' seat reclined. If the adaptor & bumper won't fit without that seat being reclined, then I doubt there is room for the toddler seat at the back.
However, I don't have my P&T yet, so I only know from what I've seen from extensive fiddling with it in Toys R Us.0 -
