Thank you to everyone one who replied to my previous post, “When should I close my Kaupthing Edge account”. Having read the posts I am still none the wiser as what to do. Opinion was split, some said take the money and run, and others said leave it where it is.
Today I have read in the business section of The Sunday Telegraph that Ing may apply to the Dutch Government for funding, also Ing are to report its first quarterly loss. It doesn't exactly instil you with confidence to leave your money with a bank when you read reports like that.
Correct me if I am wrong, but this last week I have not seen or heard of any other reports on other banks especially UK ones facing funding problems. At least if I put my money back into a UK bank, if it went bust getting my money back would be a lot easier than having to go through the Dutch authorities for compensation.
If I do decide to move my money, I will probably open an Alliance & Leicester eSaver Issue 2 account. I use my monthly interest to supplement my income.

Technically it happened more than a week ago, but UK banks have just been bailed out. Is there a difference?
