I bought bluetooth headset on the 20th august 2008. The sound wasnt working on the 19th october so i went to the shop and wanted either to get repaired or replaced. They told me that its a manufacturer problem and they wouldnt help me and i would have to go to the store who sold it to me. I drove there and they were happy to replace it but didnt have any in stock so told me to drive to the first store i went to because they had it in stock. I went back to that store but there were confident they arent liable for it etc. Netherless after arguiing with them for an hour they called up retail support and authrised a replacement. I am so frustrated because they wasted my time and money! I spent around £10 in parking and cost of petrol. I wasted over 3 hours! Surely i can get some compensation for it? can you help.

You'll waste far more time and energy trying to get compensation for your initial wasted time.
In my opinion, give it up.
Be happy with the replacement which they weren't obliged to supply as it was probably under manufacturers warranty only.0 -
I am happy with the replacement, i was expecting them to send my product off to repair. As a retailer aren't they responsible for any faults within the 1 year period. The point is that they were unaware of basic consumer rights. They didn't even know that if a product develops a fault within a 28 day period then the consumer has the right to a refund. They were completely unaware of that so it was a uphill struggle to tell them that as a retailer there are liable for the product not the manufacturer.Daytona_nev wrote: »You'll waste far more time and energy trying to get compensation for your initial wasted time.

Now the replacement one isn't working! What do I do? I am so frustrated at the moment. They don't have any more in stock. Should they send it off for repair? They keep on telling me I have to contact the manufacturer but as i far as i am aware that the retailer is liable. Can someone try and help me?0
