Life of balance card.............?

Just checked my MBNA account online and CitiBank have "paid off" just £1,575.00 out of the £6,000 I owe them. They gave me a credit limit of £1,750 so whats with the remaining £175?

When doing balance transfers, lenders don't usually allow you to transfer 100% of the balance, this is to leave part of the limit free for the balance transfer fee.
They have transferred 90% of the limit, which is pretty normal (usually 90-95%)0 -

I'm tempted to tell them to stick their insultingly low credit limit card....
.... OR beg for an increase but they won't

You may as well keep it. I tried the same thing. I wanted to transfer £7,000 but they only gave me a £3,000 credit limit and transfered £2,700.
The fact you've had a credit search means it would be pointless to cancel it. Just pay the minimum payment and focus on the more expensive card and see what you can do in a couple of months.0
