HM Revenue and Customs Form R85

After the recent turmoil I've opened several new savings accounts. As a non tax payer I've requested Forms R85. Each form R85 has had the old (pre 13th May 2008) under 65 years of age, personal allowance as £5,435 instead of £6,035.
This is very misleading and you'd have thought they'd have reprinted the form.
Is this increase in the personal allowance only temporary and is that why they are using out of date stationary?
Sorry as post #4 states the above amounts are printed on the Help sheet for completion of R85 not the form itself.

I've come across this e.g. from Kent Reliance BS.
It's the sort of mess that happens when a government changes its mind on it previous budget after all the forms have been printed.0 -

The £6035 personal allowance only changed in September 08 from £5435.Is this increase in the personal allowance only temporary and is that why they are using out of date stationary?
All personal allowances are temporary in that they are changed each tax year normally. This year has been different as there has been 2 changes, one in April as normal and the other in September to take into account the 10% tax band fiasco.
It's not really surprising that many haven't updated their stationery.0 -
The current and previous R85 forms don't state an amount.
It's the help sheets that do.
If it really worries you use the form on HMRC website
